Original silicea Gel Family of Products
Are there any risks and side effects that can occur with Original silicea Gel products?
Original silicea Gel products are a dietary supplement designed to compensate a deficiency of a particular vital substance and thus to promote your health. As the silicic acid contained in Original Silicea Gel is already inherently present in the human body, there are no side effects, provided the recommended dosage and application instructions described on the package and the patient package insert of the Original Silicea Gel products are observed. Even children over four years of age, pregnant women, and nursing mothers can safely take the silicic acid gel. To ensure regular digestion, however, it is essential to drink sufficient amounts of fluids with the gel. Please note: If you are suffering from a serious illness, please consult a therapist. Do not try to treat a disease on your own.

Is silicic acid an essential trace element?
The tremendous significance of the silicon contained in silicic acid for the health of higher creatures was recognised much later than that of other trace elements and mineral substances. While scientists identified silicic acid as an essential component in plants and animals as early as 1848, it was only almost 125 years later that Professor Edith Muriel Carlisle, a pioneer in the field of research into silicic acid, succeeded in proving that the substance is vital for animals. In the years to follow, scientists eventually discovered that the trace element has many vital functions within the human body.

Silicic acid gel is not exactly tantalising to the palate – what can I do to improve its taste?
True, pure silicic acid gel does not rank among the culinary highlights. But there are several ways to improve the gel’s taste without much effort. You can, for example, stir it into tea, mineral water, or fruit juices, mix it with your muesli for breakfast, or add an extra dose of silicic acid gel to your yogurt. Also, you can mix the gel with your facial cream or with your shampoo to give your skin and hair an extra boost of vitality from the outside.

What makes Original silicea Gel different from other silicic acid products?
What is essential in dietary supplements containing silicic acid is not so much the content of silicic acid itself, but rather the extent to which the human body can absorb and utilise this trace element. This depends on the size of the silicic acid molecules in a product, as silicic acid compounds tend to form huge molecule complexes and crystals which the human organism can exploit only to a very limited extent. To prevent these molecular agglomerations, the silicic acid contained in Original silicea Gel products is bound homogenously in water by means of a special procedure. This produces a colloid, i.e. a gel-like solution in which the silicic acid is suspended in a microdispersed form. The tiny dissolved silicic acid molecules have the ability to bind pathogens and toxins extremely well, allowing them to be discharged from the body. Moreover, they can pass easily through the intestinal wall to be transported via the blood swiftly and in sufficient quantity to wherever they are urgently needed. In comparison to liquid silicic acid, the silicic acid compounds derived from siliceous earth form huge, cumbersome molecules and are absorbed by the human body only with difficulty.

Which persons need especially large quantities of silicic acid?
Individuals engaged in hard physical or mental labour, athletes, pregnant women, growing children, and the chronically ill need especially large quantities of silicic acid. In elderly persons, too, silicic acid supply is critical, as the ability of the human body to absorb and utilise silicic acid decreases with age. This is one of the reasons why the elasticity and flexibility of the connective tissue decrease in the course of a lifetime. Young people, too, may suffer from a silicic acid deficiency, depending on their dietary habits. If your diet is primarily vegetarian with large quantities of wholemeal cereals that are rich in silicic acid, your intake of silicic acid will normally be sufficient. However, if you prefer white flour products, meat, and food of animal origin such as cheese, you may risk an insufficient supply of the trace element. Another aspect that needs to be taken into account is that the decreasing nutritional value of our farmland soils today reduces the silicic acid content even of many a whole-grain product.

Original silicea Gel
Can the human body have a silicic acid deficiency, and what are the symptoms?
Three to four tablespoons of oats or barley are enough to satisfy your daily requirement for silicic acid – this was what many food experts recommended until recently. Today’s reality, however, looks quite different: Plants frequently do not take up enough silicic acid from the soil because it is depleted or had a low silicic acid content in the first place, for example calciferous soil. Food products cultivated on this soil with low silicic acid content will only contain small quantities of this essential trace element. If you want to be on the safe side and be sure your body is getting enough silicic acid, you should therefore treat yourself to a cure with Original silicea Gel over a period of several weeks once or twice a year.
Typical symptoms for silicic acid deficiency may be: flabby connective tissue (cellulite); weak ligaments and tendons; an increased occurrence of bone fractures; growth disorders; pale, sallow, and blemished skin; itching; thin and dull hair with split ends; hair loss; brittle nails; problems with teeth and gums; an increased disposition for infections; a general feeling of faintness; and a tendency to feel cold. Especially older people should take care to feed their body enough silicic acid, as the silicic acid content of the tissue decreases with age.

Does silicic acid have positive effects on skin, hair, and nails only?
No, the connective tissue in the bones, in the cartilage, and in the blood vessels also benefits from an extra supply of silicic acid. In addition, silicic acid gel has a positive effect in treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. For this specific area of application we have developed our medical product silicea Gastrointestinal Gel.

For what periods of time should I take Original silicea Gel?
Natural beauty does not happen over night. It will take at least four weeks for Original silicea Gel to produce the first visible results. There is a simple reason for this delay: a fingernail takes approximately six months to grow out from the base to the tip, skin requires about 28 days to regenerate, and hair grows slightly more than one centimetre a month. Therefore, if you want to improve your outward appearance with Original Silicea Gel, you will need to be patient. To ensure a sufficient supply of the trace element to the body permanently, it is recommended to treat yourself to a two- to three-month cure with silicic acid once or twice a year.

Has the effect of Original silicea Gel on skin, hair, and nails been scientifically corroborated?
Yes, many studies have proven that silicic acid gel promotes hair growth, strengthens fingernails, and makes your skin firmer. The most recent study with Original silicea Gel was conducted in 2006 at the German University Hospital of Hamburg-Eppendorf. This study shows conclusively that after a treatment of only six months, hair thickness increases by an average of 13 percent, the hair looks healthier, has a higher level of gloss and fewer split ends. Moreover, the hair grows visibly faster as a result of the increased supply of silicic acid. The summary of the Director of the Hamburg study, Prof. Dr. med. Augustin, is clearly positive: “Original Silicea Gel can be used without any restrictions for an effective treatment of thin hair.”

Why does silicic acid gel promote the regeneration of skin, hair, and nails especially well when administered orally?
In principle, silicic acid can be administered both externally and orally. To achieve a lasting, clearly measurable success in the structure of skin, hair, nails and connective tissue, however, it should be taken orally. The reason is that inelastic connective tissue, ageing and dry skin, brittle nails, and thin hair are frequently the unattractive consequences of an insufficient level of active silicic acid compounds in the tissue. Taken orally on a regular basis, Original silicea Gel increases the silicic acid content in the connective tissue, causing it to become firmer, more flexible, and healthier. This is the only way to ensure that the hair roots, the nail bed, and the upper skin layers also perform their functions as best as possible and that your skin, hair, and nails are provided with a sufficient supply of nutrients and vital substances through the connective tissue.
An additional external treatment with silicic acid gel is recommended in exceptional cases only: for example for the treatment of teeth and gums and of sun-stressed and otherwise fatigued skin, and to promote the healing process in areas of local irritation, small injuries to the skin, itching, skin impurities, and herpes (cold sores).

Why should pregnant women in particular be sure to take in enough silicic acid?
Pregnant women not only have a higher requirement for iron, but also need large quantities of silicic acid. The positive side effect is that due to its ability to strengthen the connective tissue, the silicon contained in silicic acid helps prevent stretch marks.

silicea Gastrointestinal Gel
Can silicea Gastrointestinal Gel be used to treat digestive problems during holidays?
Yes, silicea Gastrointestinal Gel is an indispensable component of every first-aid kit. Due to its high binding capacity, it promotes the excretion of pathogens and the associated toxins after consuming spoiled food and liquids. It also helps alleviate digestive disorders such as flatulence, which is frequently experienced during travel as a consequence of an unfamiliar diet.

How effective is silicea Gastrointestinal Gel?
In-vitro examinations of coli bacteria showed that silicic acid in the concentration in which it is contained in silicea Gastrointestinal Gel has a binding capacity of virtually 100 percent for bacteria and bacterial toxins. This means that harmful substances in the human intestine are bound almost completely by the silicic acid gel and subsequently excreted.

My child frequently has an upset stomach – is it safe to give him silicea Gastrointestinal Gel?
Yes, silicea Gastrointestinal Gel can be administered to children without any risk, as it is a pure, gently effective natural product without harmful additives such as preservatives. It acts on a purely physical basis by absorbing gases and pathogens and the associated toxins much in the same way as a sponge. The harmful waste substances are subsequently excreted by entirely natural means via the digestive tract.

What is the difference between Original silicea Gel and silicea Gastrointestinal Gel?
silicea Gastrointestinal Gel was developed specifically for the treatment of gastrointestinal diseases accompanied by abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, and diarrhoea. The gel contains a higher concentration of silicic acid compared to the Gel. In comparison to the microdispersed silicic acid particles contained in the Gel (2.8 g silicon dioxide per 100 ml of gel), which due to their small size are readily absorbed by the intestine and transported to their destination in the tissue via the blood, the silicic acid complexes in the Gastrointestinal Gel (3.5 g silicon dioxide per 100 ml of gel) are slightly larger. Their surface area is thus extended, increasing their ability to bind pollutants such as bacteria, toxins, and gases.

silicea Cold Sore Lip Gel
What do I need to keep in mind when I use the gel?
silicea Lip Herpes Gel is dabbed onto the affected areas of skin up to five times a day. It is important to begin treatment as early as possible, i.e. as soon as you notice the first signs of itching or tingling. When applying the gel, be sure to observe strict rules of hygiene. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after dabbing the gel onto the affected spots. After drying, the product may form a white layer. This is no cause for alarm, as it merely means that the gel is beginning to take effect.

What is special about silicea Lip Herpes Gel?
Conventional drugs used to treat herpes (cold sores) frequently have side effects and may therefore not be used, for example, by pregnant women. silicea Cold Sore Lip Gel, by contrast, acts on an entirely natural basis, binding the secreted fluids by purely physical means and thereby causing the blisters to dry up. The virus is thus bereft of its breeding ground - and silicea Lip Herpes Gel achieves this entirely without the use of chemicals.
